The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness: Wolf Brother

I give this book a rating of 4 beans! It's the first book of six. It takes place about 6 thousand years ago when Europe was a giant forest. It's about this kid named Torak who's been growing up with his dad away from people. he doesn't know what it's like to live in a clan with lot's of people. In this book he is the only one who can save the forest from a very evil monster. The second book is called; The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness: Spirit Walker. It's also very good. The third book is called; The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness: Soul Eater. It's so cool! I gave these books 4 beans because it's filled with puzzles and things happen that you wouldn't think possible. Books 4-6 haven't come out yet. I think book 4 comes out sometime this year (2008). I don't know?

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lighting Thief

My English teacher assigned my class this book. It's written by a guy named Rick Riordan. He's a really good author. It's about this kid who doesn't know his dad and he's been transferred from school to school like, six or seven times. Then, at the school he's going to in this book, he meets this kid named Grover who is his only friend. They end up going on a big adventure together and meet lot's of scary people. This is the first book in the series. The second book is called; Percy and the Olympians: Sea of Monsters. The third book is called; Percy and the Olympians: The Titans Curse. The fourth book which will come out on May 6, 2008 is called; Percy and the Olympians: Battle of the Labyrinth. Or some thing like that? I gave this book a rating of 5 beans because there are lots of things that happen that you won't expect. All three books kept me reading for hours and hours. I even got in trouble by my teacher for reading ahead in book one. I can't wait until book four comes out!!!!!!

The Invention of Hugo Cabret

I give this book a rating of 4 beans!
The author of this book is Brian Selznick
I liked this book because it had a good story line and the pictures in the book are amazing. Almost the whole book is pictures that tell the story. It was recently awarded the Caldecott medal. It was a book that held my attention. It's about a boy who's dad died so he had to go live with his uncle at the train station. His uncle taught him how to fix the clocks in the train station and how to keep them running. His uncle leaves him after a couple of months. He tries to fix an automaton that his dad had found. Later he meets the maker of the automaton and they fix it. The automaton, once fixed, could paint an amazing picture. Then he goes and lives with the maker.
