The Invention of Hugo Cabret

I give this book a rating of 4 beans!
The author of this book is Brian Selznick
I liked this book because it had a good story line and the pictures in the book are amazing. Almost the whole book is pictures that tell the story. It was recently awarded the Caldecott medal. It was a book that held my attention. It's about a boy who's dad died so he had to go live with his uncle at the train station. His uncle taught him how to fix the clocks in the train station and how to keep them running. His uncle leaves him after a couple of months. He tries to fix an automaton that his dad had found. Later he meets the maker of the automaton and they fix it. The automaton, once fixed, could paint an amazing picture. Then he goes and lives with the maker.

Beans,
This is Grandpa. I finally read this book last night. I loved it. Fun story, neat pics. Interesting to contemplate the effect of movies on a society. Also books. Also thoughts.
Love, Gpa
